- Usage Data: We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used. This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
- Tracking & Cookies Data: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
2. Use of Data
AltSense uses the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To manage your account
- To process payments via our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy.
- To monitor the usage of the Service
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues
3. Image Data Handling
Your privacy and the confidentiality of your images are of utmost importance. We handle your uploaded images as follows:
- Temporary Processing: Images you upload are used solely for the purpose of generating alt-text via the Google Gemini API. They are not used for any other purpose, nor are they shared with any third parties other than Google for the processing task.
- Immediate Deletion: We do not store your image files permanently. Once an image has been successfully processed, or if the processing fails, the image file is immediately and permanently deleted from our servers.
4. Data Transfer
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
5. Disclosure Of Data
We will not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide our service (e.g., payment processing).
6. Google Drive Integration
To enhance your experience, AltSense offers an optional feature to connect to your Google Drive account. This allows you to select and import images directly from your cloud storage for processing.
- Data Access: When you connect your Google Drive, our application requests read-only permission to view your files. We only access the specific images you choose to import through the Google Drive file picker. We do not access, store, or share any other files or data from your account.
- Limited Use: The image data from the files you select is used solely for the purpose of generating alt-text as described in this policy and is deleted from our servers immediately after processing.
AltSense's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
